This third instalment in a series of Standardized Reporting CME, the BCRS is pleased to bring you a multidisciplinary session on reporting gynecological imaging.

The course includes:

  • O-RADS descriptors and lexicon, describing how imaging reports are incorporated into clinical decision-making
  • Ultrasound diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy with a focus on unusual types to clarify confusion around “cornual”, “interstitial” and “eccentric” terminology, using ultrasound criteria that help differentiate
  • A new prospective study to closely monitor pregnancies that are eccentric or indeterminate for interstitial ectopic pregnancies
  • A systematic approach to evaluating endometriosis on pelvic MRI and features to describe for pre-op planning
  • What the surgeon wants to know from the radiologist in the context of medical/operative management of this condition as well as adenomyosis, i.e. identify the key words that oncologists look for in radiology reports
  • Review of interesting cases – describing pertinent US imaging features of ectopic pregnancies, summarizing the value of multimodality imaging in the assessment of ovarian masses and illustrating the spectrum of US and MRI imaging features of endometriosis.
