DR. KAREN SELAND

Dr. Seland has a BSc in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University, and subsequently worked in the areas of Rehabilitation and Ergonomics for 5 years.  She completed her MD in 2006 and Radiology Residency in 2011, both at the University of Alberta.  She has worked in Prince George as a general radiologist since 2011.  In 2016, she completed a mini fellowship in breast imaging at BC Women’s Hospital and went on to set up the Breast Imaging Clinic at the University Hospital of Northern BC in 2017. While enjoying all areas of radiology, she has a particular interest in breast imaging.  She is also a vocal advocate for the importance of maintaining high quality rural and remote radiology services across British Columbia. When not at work, she enjoys Pilates, hiking, cross country skiing, and cycling.  She is also an avid podcast listener, especially true crime.
