DR. CHARLOTTE YONG-HING (she/her)
MD, FRCPC, FCAR
Dr. Yong-Hing is Vice Chair, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and Clinical Associate Professor in the University of British Columbia (UBC) Department of Radiology. She is Medical Director of the BC Cancer Breast Screening Program and Past President of the BC Radiological Society. She works at BC Cancer Vancouver, where she served as Medical Director of Breast Imaging from 2017–2024, and at two UBC-affiliated community imaging clinics.
Dr. Yong-Hing co-chairs the UBC Radiology EDI Committee and previously chaired the Canadian Association of Radiologists EDI Working Group. She founded Canadian Radiology Women in 2018 and has been invited to speak internationally on practical strategies to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion in radiology training and the workforce.
Her contributions have been recognized with EDI awards from both UBC Radiology and UBC Faculty of Medicine, and in 2025 she received the Doctors of BC Don Rix Award for Physician Leadership.
