DR. VAMSHI KOTHA

Dr. Kotha, MD, FRCPC, is a Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiologist in Victoria and the current Medical Lead for Interventional Radiology in South Island – VIHA. Dr. Kotha completed medical training in India and fellowships in Toronto and Calgary. He then worked on Staff in AB and SK before moving to BC.

Having worked in 4 Canadian provinces, and has experienced different models of healthcare delivery. This has led a special interest in quality improvement and Dr. Kotha is currently involved in several local and provincial projects to improve delivery of radiology services. He is an active member of the local physician groups to improve inter-disciplinary collaborations. He has also been involved in clinical research and has over 20 publications, 2 Canadian grants and numerous invited presentations.

Dr. Kotha lives with his spouse and 2 children in Victoria. In his spare time, he enjoys playing badminton/tennis/chess and kayaking.
