Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

1. Recognize variations in placental morphology on ultrasound, including placenta previa, vasa previa, chorioangioma, circumvallate placenta, placental lakes, and placenta accreta spectrum, and identify when findings warrant referral
2. Understand recent updates to management guidelines and surveillance for placenta previa and vasa previa
3. Apply the standardized ultrasound assessment tool used by the RCH placenta accreta spectrum program, including how outcomes correlate with imaging findings and how the referral pathway works
