COVID-19 has caused tremendous shifts and changes in all radiologists practices throughout this province including both hospital and community clinics. Most outpatient imaging at the hospitals have now been limited and the volumes at clinics are likewise reduced. The BCRS is doing our best to help our members and stakeholders navigate these unchartered waters.
While Radiologists and their front line colleagues deal with the crisis day in and day out, it has been impressive to see rapid coordination between all regulatory bodies, the health authorities and the government. Radiologists have a key role in managing our resources, and the radiology medical leads as well as the BCRS representatives are part of frequent meetings among all imaging stakeholders in the province. Bulletins will continue to be issued by health authorities to provide updates, and there have been useful guidelines on patient screening and enhanced sterilization put out by our partners at the CAR. We will do our best to keep this page updated with the most current information.
