Inaugural BCRS Day on the Hill in Victoria
Advocacy In Action
On May 7, 2026, the British Columbia Radiological Society hosted its inaugural BCRS Day on the Hill in Victoria, bringing radiologists directly into conversations with government decision makers to advocate for the future of medical imaging in British Columbia.
The day also included attendance at Question Period in the Legislature, where the BCRS was formally introduced by Anna Kindy.
Throughout the day, BCRS representatives met with Ministers, MLAs, and senior Ministry of Health leadership to discuss the urgent challenges facing radiology across the province.
At the centre of every conversation was one core message: British Columbia faces a radiologist recruitment and retention crisis, resulting in critical medical imaging wait times and negative impacts on patients across the province.
